**Among our presenters are ICCI staff members and clergy, educators, community activists and participants in ICCI's programs and in the programs of ICCI's over 70 affliates. Programs can be planned with single speakers or with panels of two or three presenters of different religions. Scholar-in-residence weekends & Single Lectures ICCI staff members and clergy would be happy to arrange to visit your community for a weekend of study and reflection on issues of religion and peace-building. Lectures and Panels for groups visiting Israel 1) Overview of Interreligious Relations in Israel A brief presentation of interreligious relations in Israel today. Areas of focus include: * The Context of the Peace Process * Jewish-Christian Relations * Jewish-Muslim Relations * Jewish-Christian-Muslim Trialogue * Religion and society in Israel * Interreligious relations in Israel today * Religion as a bridge between Israelis and Palestinians 2) Jewish-Christian Relations A survey of Jewish-Christian Relations in Israel on the background of the history of Jewish-Christian Relations in the Post-Holocaust Era and the Israeli-Palestinian context. Elements of this session include: * Christians as a minority in the Jewish state * Developments in Jewish-Christian Relations including the impact of Pope John Paul II's historic visit to Israel * Israel -Vatican relations This unit can include the screening of ICCI's film I am Joseph Your Brother followed by discussion with the director. 3) Educating for Arab-Jewish Coexistence in Israel - a Dialogue A survey of ICCI's educational programs which bring Jews and Arabs (Christians and Muslims) together. Our programs for educators, clergy and community leaders have brought hundreds of Israelis together to contribute to coexistence. Educational materials which have been produced in and for these programs take the message further. This session can include: * An overview of problems and progress in Arab-Jewish relations * A text-study workshop in which samples of these materials are studied by your group * Site visits to places where interreligious and intercultural programs take place
4) Jerusalem as a City of three Faiths and Two Peoples Learn about the historical and contemporary traditions and significance of Jerusalem which is cherished by Jews, Christians and Muslims; Israelis and Palestinians. The session will include a Jew, aMuslim and a Christian.This unit can be presented as: * Lecture * Panel presentation * Text Study * Study tour in the field visiting sites of major significance 5) Educating about Arab-Jewish Coexistence through Film A workshop on Arab-Jewish coexistence through cinema. Using short films and film clips, this session includes examination of the portrayal of Jews and Arabs in Israeli film and a discussion of the use of film for educating toward Arab-Jewish coexistence. Based on ICCI's booklet entitled Understanding One Another: The Use of Film for Coexistence Education. 6) Text Study with Jewish, Christian and Muslim Scholars Study classical and modern texts from the Jewish, Christian and Muslim traditions as well as modern works from the Palestinian and Israeli cultures to gain insight to the depth and background of each group's relationship to: * Land and identity * Attitudes to the װother * Common values 7) Women as Catalysts for Peace Women who participated in ICCI's Jerusalem Women's Dialogue Program will talk about the role of women in building peace, based on their recently published Women of the Book: A Jerusalem Collage. The book features collages created by the participants on the theme of women's lineage and raises many questions and issues, such as connection to the land, refugee experiences, and raising children in the midst of conflict. Using the book, the session will touch upon many questions and issues concerning the interwoven lives and identities of Jerusalem women. A Palestinian and a Jewish woman will present this session. 8) Youth in Interreligious Dialogue: Face to Face/Faith to Faith Meet with participants, alumni and staff of ICCI's exceptional Face to Face -Faith to Faith program which brings Jewish, Muslim and Christian high school students together for a year long series of encounters, activities and discussions. These young people who have traveled to a unique interreligious summer camp experience in the United States to learn about conflicts in other regions, engage in ongoing dialogue and action in Jerusalem throughout the year. 9) Reconciliation: Interreligious Dialogue between Jewish, Muslim and Christian Religious Leaders in Israel Presentation of ICCI's path- breaking dialogue between grass-roots religious leaders from all over Israel. This unit can include meeting with participants in the KEDEM (acronym for the Hebrew Voices for Religious Reconciliation) project which has brought together mainstream leaders from the Muslim, Jewish and Christian communities in long-term encounters which are making an impact in Israeli society. (In Hebrew, via translation) 10) In the Galilee Lectures, panel discussions and site visits can be arranged with ICCI member organizations in the Galilee, such as: * Makom BaGalil, at Shorashim * Bet Hagefen, Arab-Jewish Center, Haifa * Center for Humanistic Education, Ghetto Fighters Museum
