Director: Rabbi Dr. Ron Kronish is also a noted rabbi, educator, author, lecturer and speaker.  He received his B.A. from Brandeis University, rabbinic ordination from Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in New York, and doctorate in Education from Harvard University.  Dr. Kronish has published articles and essays on Jewish politics, faith communities and the peace process, as well as education, culture and contemporary issues in America and Israel. He has represented ICCI at the Vatican and at many international conferences, and is frequently consulted by media representatives for background information and briefings. He has lived in Jerusalem for the past 27 years.

Director of Educational Initiatives: Ophir Yarden earned his M.A. in Middle East Studies and has pursued advanced Jewish studies at the Shalom Hartman Institute and the Schechter Institute of Judaic Studies, both in Jerusalem. Ophir teaches Jewish Studies at several Jerusalem Institutions and lectures regularly at Christian Seminaries. He is an activist in Arab-Jewish dialogue groups and in the Israeli peace movement. Ophir serves as ICCI's Director of Educational Initiatives and heads the Centre for Interreligious Encounter with Israel.

Director of Youth and Young Adult Programs: Avigail Moshe oversees the Middle East contingent of the Face-to-Face/Faith-to-Faith Youth Dialogue and Leadership program, as well as programming with alumni of the program and and other young adults.  Avigail also works with the KEDEM program. Avigail holds both a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Islam and Middle Eastern Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Avigail grew up in Rishon LeZion, Israel.

 

 

 

 

 

Program CoordinatorWasim Biroumi, along with his Jewish colleague Avigail Moshe, co-ordinates the "From Memory to Reconciliation" program. Wasim holds a B.A. in Behavioral Sciences and an Educational Psychology M.A. from the Ben Gurion Universtiy in the Negev, as well as finalizing a M.A. degree in Clinical-Educational Psychology from Haifa University. He has served as a facilitator, coordinator, lecturer and educator in various capacities since 1999, and has in recent years gained expertise regarding the facilitation and guidance of conflict groups.

 

 

Program Coordinator: Hiba Alayan is responsible for coordinating programs involving the graduates of ICCI's youth programs (F2F and JIYAF) and is additionally the interpreter for the current Face to Face / Faith to Faith group. She is a student of English Literature at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

 

 

 

Program Coordinator: Maisa Zoabi  coordinates the Middle East contingent of the Face-to-Face/Faith-to-Faith Youth Dialogue and Leadership program, along with her Jewish colleague Alex. Maisa holds a B.A. in Education and Chemistry as well as a Teacher's Certificate from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is currently a graduate student of Educational Administration and Leadership at the Hebrew University. She has been guiding and tutoring youth for several years.

 

 

 

Program Coordinator: Alex Kusner coordinates the Middle East contingent of the Face-to-Face/Faith-to-Faith Youth Dialogue and Leadership Program, along with her Palestinian colleague Maisa. Alex holds a B.A. in Social Work from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She is the graduate of several facilitator training workshops as well as a pre-military training program for social leadership. Alex has a rich experience in working with youth, both individually and in groups, since 2001.

 

 

 

Program Coordinator: Mariam Abed ElDayyem, along with her Jewish-Israeli Colleague Yael Ychieli, co-ordinates the Jerusalem Interreligious Youth and Young Adult Forum. Mariam is currently writing her thesis for a Master's Degree in the Sociology of Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  A board member in the Voice of the Woman,  activist and a facilitator since 2003.

 

 

 

Program Coordinator: Yael Yechieli, along with her Palestinian colleague Mariam Abed ElDayyem, co-ordinates the Jerusalem Interreligious Youth and Young Adult Forum. Yael holds a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and has served as a facilitator, coordinator and educator in various capacities since 1996.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Communications and Development Coordinator: Rakheli Hever is responsible for communications, development, and general office needs at ICCI.  Rakheli holds a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Education from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

  

  

 


 

Women's Dialogue and Social Action Staff

 ThiloNew Communications and Development Intern: Thilo Schöne. Among other things, he will be responsible for ICCI's blog and Facebook page. He will also engage in research on German foundations which could become funders of ICCI. Thilo is a senior at Dresden University, Germany, majoring in Political Science and History. He specialized in Middle Eastern Studies and Israeli Politics and interned at the European Parliament in Brussels. Thilo is politically active in the Social Democratic Party of Germany and participated in exchange programs of the Willy Brandt Center, meeting Israeli and Palestinian young people. Originally from Dresden, he spent a semester at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and interned in parallel at the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, East Jerusalem.
